This summer the Nissan brand entered into two major partnerships. The first had the brand being named the official automotive partner of the Wounded Warrior Project ® (WWP) and through the second, Nissan signed a new 20-year exclusive Naming Rights agreement with the downtown stadium of the Tennessee Titans. Now, the brand has combined the two through a series of special dedication ceremonies that will take place during all of the Tennessee Titan home games this season along with a recent donation of $25,000 made by the team to WWP. During each home game, a WWP Veteran will be brought out onto the field and recognized by the team for their bravery. The team will then make a donation in their honor to the WWP in order to further recognize their efforts and sacrifices that they made for their country. "The Titans are proud to support our nation's military veterans, and we are honored to host and recognize a deserving soldier at each Titans home game at Nissan Stadium in 2015," said Tennessee Titans Foundation President Kenneth Adams, IV. "It's a small way to honor the bravery and service of those soldiers who sacrifice so much for our country, and it is a privilege for us to have an association with Wounded Warrior Project."

This past weekend, a specially designed 2016 Nissan Maxima served as the official Safety Car of the Oak Tree Grand Prix, which took place Friday-Sunday at the Virginia International Raceway in Danville, Virginia. The redesigned version of this model was also put on display throughout the weekend so fans could take a closer look at this impressive model. In addition to the 2016 Maxima serving as the safety car, two Doran Racing Nissan 370Z NISMOs also took to the track last weekend, competing in the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge. In the past few racing seasons, Nissan has been a strong presence in the world of IMSA TUDOR with a number of cars and power plants as part of their role as an official partner of the championship series. This redesigned Maxima will serve as the official safety car once again on September 1-19 during the Lone Star Le Mans race at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. During that race, the Doran Racing 370Zs will also be hitting the track once again.

Toyota recently uploaded a video, highlighting the long and impressive history of Tsutomu Sakuraoka, a master craftsman at Nissan’s Tochigi manufacturing plant. For over 38 years, he has practiced the art of milling to the point of perfection. This past year Sakuraoka was awarded a Yellow Ribbon by the Japanese government in recognition of his dedication to working milling machines. Three different Nissan vehicles were recognized by J.D. Power in their  Automotive, Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study as one of the top three models in their categories. J.D. Power conducts this study each year, through which they invite new vehicle owners to evaluate their satisfaction with their new vehicles by filling out the study based on 77 specific vehicle attributes. The scores provided by each owner are then combined to give each model an overall APEAL score based on a 1,000-point scale. July 2015 U.S. sales for the Nissan Group were recently announced. Overall, the brand sold a total of 120,439 units, which is a 6.7 percent increase over July 2014’s total sales of 112,914 units. For total U.S. sales throughout the first seven months of the year, the brand has sold 792,642 units, rising 4.6 percent over the 758,050 units sold during January - July of 2014. Even though the incredible Nissan GT-R LM NISMO racecar didn’t win the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, it certainly won the attention and hearts of motorsports fans across the world. In honor of the incredible car, a 1/43rd scale mini-car will go for sale in limited numbers at this year’s 28th Annual International Z Car Convention (ZCon). A few months ago, Nissan released a series of videos featuring the Nissan TITAN as part of a multi-part Truckumenrary. A total of six chapters were released, each offering a look into different stages of the 2016 TITAN’s development. The series began with a look into the history of Nissan pickups and then each new segment offered a behind-the-scenes look at the entire process from the creation of the initial design all the way through real-world test drives and everything in-between. Chapter 7 of the Truckumentary has now been released and it is titled “Truck Love”. This newest segment showcases the final 2016 TITAN as it is unveiled in front of enthusiasts at the 8th Annual Texas Nissan Truck meet and at a number of other locations in Southern California.
