Renault-Nissan Alliance Makes Milestone Achievement
Currently, the Renault-Nissan Alliance is at the front of the pack when it comes to zero-emissions and just recently the branch achieved yet another major accomplishment. In early June, the Alliance sold its 250,000th car, a Renault ZOE. On top of that the Alliance makes up half the electric vehicles throughout the world. The Nissan LEAF is still the highest-selling electric vehicle ever with around 180,000 vehicles sold. The Alliance sold about 31,700 electric vehicles this year from January to May, around 15 percent more than the same time period in 2014. "Demand for our electric vehicles continues to grow thanks to government incentives and the expanding charging infrastructure," said Carlos Ghosn, Chairman and CEO of the Renault-Nissan Alliance. "The positive response of our customers is also driving demand. These vehicles enjoy some of the highest levels of satisfaction rates from our customers around the world." The Renault-Nissan alliance has proved to be a good partnership. With six models on the road, it’s the only global car company with a complete range of fully electric vehicles. Two fully electric Nissan vehicles and four fully electric Renaults. Since the Nissan LEAF first went on sale in December 2010 they’ve sold around 185,000 electric cars and since Renault first started selling electric cars in 2011 they’ve sold around 65,000 electric vehicles.

Versa Note is a Perfect College Graduate Car
Autotrader has just named the 2015 Nissan Versa Note to its “10 Best Cars for Recent College Graduates” list. These cars rightfully earned a spot on the list for not only their reasonable prices and savings at the pump, but also for their “desirable technology features and stylistic appeal”. The first Versa Note was originally introduced last year and this year a new sports model, the Versa Note SR, was introduced as well. Getting up to 40 miles per gallon (X-Tronic Transmission equipped models), at the MSRP of only $14,180*, the Note is fuel efficient and also won’t kill your wallet. “Any time someone goes through a major life change, such as graduating college, they need to determine if their current ride makes sense for their lifestyle, from both a financial and functional perspective,” said Brian Moody, site editor for Autotrader. “For example, while that hand-me-down SUV from your parents was nice when you turned 16, you may want to opt for a safer, more fuel-efficient car as you transition into the working world.” While similar to the Versa Sedan, the Versa Note has many of its own qualities, including a five-door hatchback design. Many technological features also add to its diversity. An available Divide-N-Hide® Adjustable Floor (adjustable rear load floor height) allows you to pack areas of the Note that you wouldn’t be able to pack otherwise. NissanConnectTM with Navigation and Mobile Apps is perfect for those always enjoyable trips with your friends. The Versa Note is available in five different trims. The Versa Note S, featuring a five-speed manual transmission, and the S Plus, SV, SR, and SL featuring a next-generation Nissan X-Tronic Transmission. * MSRP excludes applicable tax, title, license fees and $810 USD destination charges. Dealer sets actual price. Prices and specs are subject to change without notice.

Part 2 of Nissan Series on Rick Kelly and a Vintage R32 GT-R
Previously, we presented you with the first two episodes in the four-part series that Nissan has released featuring Nissan NISMO athlete Rick Kelly driving a vintage Nissan Skyline GT-R. Filming this series was a treat for both Kelly and Nissan racing fans as it offered a glimpse into the impressive capabilities of this classic model and how even at more than 20 years old, the manufacturing on this model is still impressively close to what you would find in a race car from today! Additionally, for Kelly, this gave him a rare chance to get behind the wheel of a model that helped to pave the way for future vehicles such as the Altima V8 Supercar that he usually pilots. Episode 3 features Kelly shows us the unique interior of the vintage GT-R and compares what he finds to what you would see in one of today’s cars. Episode 4 provides the viewer with a look at Kelly taking this model out for a few laps on the Sydney Motorsport Park in Australia’s track and we are provided with a camera view that captures Kelly’s perspective.
