Master Craftsman Tsutomu Sakuraoka
Toyota recently uploaded a video, highlighting the long and impressive history of Tsutomu Sakuraoka, a master craftsman at Nissanâs Tochigi manufacturing plant. For over 38 years, he has practiced the art of milling to the point of perfection. This past year Sakuraoka was awarded a Yellow Ribbon by the Japanese government in recognition of his dedication to working milling machines. Nissan Division Announces July 2015 Sales
July 2015 U.S. sales for the Nissan Group were recently announced. Overall, the brand sold a total of 120,439 units, which is a 6.7 percent increase over July 2014âs total sales of 112,914 units. For total U.S. sales throughout the first seven months of the year, the brand has sold 792,642 units, rising 4.6 percent over the 758,050 units sold during January – July of 2014.
Nissan Division Sales For July:
- Sales of the Sentra increased by 5.3 percent with 18,511 units
- Sales of the Altima increased by 27 percent with 33,842 units
- Sales of the JUKE increased by 0.9 percent with 2,347 units
- Sales of the Titan increased by 5 percent with 1,126 units
- Sales of the Xterra increased by 11.5 percent with 1,196 units
- Sales of the Pathfinder increased by 5.9 percent with 7,802 units
- Sales of the Rogue increased by 50.9 percent with 25,081 units
- Sales of the Murano increased by 17.7 percent with 5,459 units
- Sales of the Quest increased by 13.9 percent with 895 units
- Sales of the NV increased by 24 percent with 1,526 units
- Sales of the NV200 increased by 11.6 percent with 1,493 units

Nissan To Debut 1/43rd Scale GT-R LM NISMO
Even though the incredible Nissan GT-R LM NISMO racecar didnât win the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, it certainly won the attention and hearts of motorsports fans across the world.
In honor of the incredible car, a 1/43rd scale mini-car will go for sale in limited numbers at this yearâs 28th Annual International Z Car Convention (ZCon). It will also be for sale for $41 at Nissan dealers throughout the country.
“The Nissan GT-R LM NISMO pushes the limits of technology and innovation, as well as design. We think owners of this beautiful miniature replica will be proud to give it a place of honor on a bookcase or desktop,” said Pierre Loing, vice president, Product Planning, Nissan North America, Inc. “We expect the new model to be a popular item among other souvenirs at the convention this weekend.”
A few months ago, Nissan released a series of videos featuring the Nissan TITAN as part of a multi-part Truckumenrary. A total of six chapters were released, each offering a look into different stages of the 2016 TITANâs development. The series began with a look into the history of Nissan pickups and then each new segment offered a behind-the-scenes look at the entire process from the creation of the initial design all the way through real-world test drives and everything in-between.
Chapter 7 of the Truckumentary has now been released and it is titled âTruck Loveâ. This newest segment showcases the final 2016 TITAN as it is unveiled in front of enthusiasts at the 8th Annual Texas Nissan Truck meet and at a number of other locations in Southern California. June 2015 Nissan Group Sales
June has passed and that means Nissan Group reports for June are out. Compared to the year before, Nissan Group saw an increase in sales (up 13.3 percent) throughout the month of June. Total they ended the month with 124,228 vehicles sold. Nissan alone sold 114,243 of those  vehicles, leading to a 13 percent increase, a June record for the brand.
Many individual Nissan vehicles saw high success rates as well. Another June record was set in the crossover category which saw a 30.3 percent increase in sales. The Rogue crossover set a personal June record with a 54.3 percent increase in sales leading to 23,343 sales throughout the month. On top of that, the Murano crossover sold 5,314 cars for a 73.8 percent increase in sales. Many other cars had strong June sales as well, with the Maxima, Altima, and Pathfinder all finishing the month with increased sales.
