The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has given the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder a highest-possible 5-star overall vehicle safety rating following their evaluation of this model in their New Car Assessment Program (NCAP).

“This latest Pathfinder is designed to be everything customers want in a family adventure vehicle,” said Michael Bunce, vice president, product planning, Nissan North America. “Pathfinder delivers a safe and secure driving experience that is now augmented with our Nissan Safety Shield suite of technologies.”

The 2017 Nissan Pathfinder will be released this fall and it will come standard with safety features such as Roof-Mounted Supplemental Curtain Air Bags, Nissan Advanced Air Bag System, Intelligent Cruise Control, Vehicle Dynamic Control and Traction Control System, Forward Emergency Braking, Supplemental Front Seat-Mounted Side-Impact Air Bags, LATCH System, and Child Safety Rear Door Locks.

This model is offered in either 2WD or 4WD and with available features such as Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Warning, and Around View® Monitor with Moving Object Detection.
