“Over the years it has developed into something quite unique; we generally pick a car now that is a little older, have a theme, whether it’s 1950s, ’60s, ’70s, or ’80s, and we dress accordingly to the era of the car, which just adds a little bit of fun.
You may remember the Kelly brothers from last year when we talked about their annual Bathurst Road Trip. Well they are back at it again and this year they’ve gone retro by choosing a Nissan Figaro and some 1950’s attire. This two-door convertible was built in 1991 and is powered by a 987cc turbocharged engine which is paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. For the drive to Mount Panorama, the brothers will be accompanied with co-driver David Russell, a Nissan NP300 Navara, and a Jayco Starcraft Caravan.
