This past December the 2015 Nissan Murano was given yet another accolade, a “Best Crossover” in the “10 Best Family Cars” list put together by Parents Magazine and Edmunds.com. Similar to previous years the vehicles were evaluated based on areas like high tech performance, safety, and convenience at all different prices.

Adding to it’s list of awards, the Murano was named an IIHS “Top Safety Pick Plus” due to it being one of Nissan’s vehicles to have Predictive Forward Collision Warning and Forward Emergency Braking systems.

“The 2015 Murano has found a sweet spot in the competitive crossover SUV segment, offering standout styling, a highly versatile premium interior, advanced safety and driver aid technologies and, of course, Nissan’s legendary driving excitement,” said Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing, Parts & Service, U.S.A, Nissan North America, Inc. “Now, on top of record sales in May, we’re honored to add the highly sought-after Parents / Edmunds.com ‘Best Family Car’ acknowledgment to a great first year of the new Murano design.”

The Murano continues the new Nissan look with its V-Motion front, floating roof feature, and boomerang headlights. On the interior is a spacious and relaxing feeling created by the Murano’s airy atmosphere, combined with its low instrument panel, and zero gravity seats. With available features to choose from like an 8-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support, a remote engine start, and an 11 speaker Bose sound system, the ride only becomes more relaxing.

The Murano is available in either front wheel drive or all wheel drive with a 3.5 liter DOHC V6 engine connected to an advanced XTronic transmission coming standard. With four different trims to choose from, anyone can find the Murano perfect for them.
