The Nissan brand has been a strong supporter of Veterans for some time and in just the last year alone, the brand has made a number of important contributions that support veterans and their families. Now, Nissan has announced that they are the official automotive partner of the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). As such, Nissan dealers throughout the United States will have the opportunity to help raise funds for the WWP and the top supporting dealer of the year will be invited to join Nissan at the annual WWP Courage Awards & Benefit Dinner® in New York City.
“Nissan and Nissan dealers are proud to be helping support our nation’s heroes by raising awareness and support through local promotions and events, as well as continuing our efforts at the national level,” said Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Sales, Marketing & Operations, U.S.A., Nissan North America, Inc. “It’s Nissan’s way of honoring the service to those who sacrifice so much for all of us, including their devoted family members.”
The Nissan partnership with the WWP is just the latest in a long line of support that Nissan has given to the military. Earlier this year, Nissan took two veterans from the WWP on the ultimate off-road adventure in a specially-built Nissan Titan as part of their “Project Titan” adventure.  Additionally, the brand donated $1 million in support of WWP and Habitat for Humanity as part of their “With Dad” Super Bowl commercial.
