This fall, from September 12-20, Plug-In vehicle enthusiasts everywhere will gather together at a series of events across the country to celebrate National Drive Electric Week. This annual event has been held for the past four years as a way to promote the benefits of driving an electric vehicle. One of the best, biggest selling electric vehicles in the world today is the Nissan LEAF, which has led to the Nissan brand being the event’s exclusive automotive sponsor for the past two years. Now, the brand has announced that that sponsorship will continue on through the year 2017.

“From the moment we launched Nissan LEAF, we quickly found that LEAF owners are our best salespeople,” said Andrew Speaker, Director, Nissan Electric Vehicle Sales and Marketing. “We are continuing to support National Drive Electric Week because this event helps bring owners of LEAF and other EVs together to share their experience and educate consumers on the benefits of driving electric cars.”

This week-long event includes a series of EV-based events through which EV owners can meet and mingle with each other and non-EV owners can learn about all of the financial and eco-friendly benefits of owning an Electric model.
