It is no secret that the vehicles in the Nissan lineup offer an impressive level of versatility and smooth drivability, but Nissan recently decided to put those skills to use in a whole different way by pinning them up against each other on the soccer field. As part of the brand’s role as the global automotive partner of the UEFA Champions League, they teamed up with a few professional athletes and drivers in order to recreate an official UEFA Championships League match using Nissan vehicle. The match included two teams of four that were made up of the Nissan NP300 Frontier, Nissan X-Trail, Nissan Qashqai, and the Nissan March. All eight vehicles were piloted by a professional driver and co-piloted by an athlete that provided their expertise for game strategy.
While this may have been just for fun, the match followed the official protocol for UEFA Champions League games and included a referee, a lineup presentation, opening ceremony, halftime, and closing-time.
