Goodbye October and hello November! November brings a lot of exciting holidays and a lot of the time holidays mean traveling to see family. November also brings the winter weather we have all been dreading, and unfortunately, we donât know when the snow and storms will hit, so it is better to be prepared ahead of time then find yourself stuck in the snow on the way to grandmaâs house. Although it is important to get service for your vehicle before winter hits, this week are going to talk about must-haves in your vehicle for the winter months. However, if you think that you might need your vehicle maintenance for the winter, head over to our website and schedule your service now! - Sturdy ice scraper and snow brush.

* Make sure to keep all fluid level at their proper levels, keep tires at proper PSI, and keep windshield wiper fluid and gas tank full throughout the winter, to help prevent any breakdowns or accidents.
Get Your Vehicle Winter Weather Ready!
Checking your vehicleâs antifreeze level during the cold winter months is a simple and inexpensive way to make sure your car wonât leave you stranded. Antifreeze is important because it helps keep your carâs engine cool, helps provide heat to your cabin, as well as protect your engine from freezing in cold weather. Although we might not be to that point yet, that doesnât mean the cold weather isnât right around the corner and we want you to be ahead of it!
Checking your coolant level is actually very easy, all you will need a few basic service tools and an antifreeze ball tester, which is available at your local auto parts store. Always make sure the engine and coolant system are cool before you begin. If the antifreeze/coolant is low, add a 50/50 mix of approved antifreeze and distilled water. If you changed your antifreeze recently, but your level is low, use the antifreeze ball tester to make sure the anti-freeze-to-water ratio is correct.
While youâre under the hood, it wouldnât be a bad idea to check for and replace any leaking, brittle, spongy or cracked hoses and to make sure that the radiator hose clamps are tight to prevent leaks at the connections.
