For the third consecutive year, Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com has named the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder to their “16 Best Family Cars of 2016”  list. Each year KBB.com editors put this list together after selecting the vehicles that they feel “best meet the needs of today’s modern families” following an extensive evaluation process.
The 2016 Nissan Pathfinder has been given a complete redesign with an all-new look and feel for the interior that now offers an almond color scheme with beige and black accent materials. This model is also equipped with a number of standard and available features. Some of these features include EZ Flex Seating System™ with LATCH AND GLIDE™ system, Around View® Monitor, Heated Steering Wheel, and a Cold Weather Package. This package comes complete with features such as Heated Cloth Front Seats and Heated Outside Rearview Mirrors.
“When we launched the totally redesigned Pathfinder in 2013 as a 3-row/7-passenger model, we knew it was an ideal vehicle for what we call everyday family adventures,” said Dan Mohnke, vice president, Nissan Chief Marketing Manager & Marketing Operations. “Now, as it enters its fourth year of production, Pathfinder continues to attract new fans, and awards, for just that reason.”

Nissan has developed yet another seven-seat vehicle, but not the kind you might expect from an automobile manufacturer. This new vehicle is a bobsleigh, and it just recently took its inaugural run at the Olympic track at Innsbruck, Austria. It is capable of reaching up to 100 km/h even with the weight of seven fully-grown men.
“We wanted to give the opportunity to experience first-hand the adventurous nature of our crossover segment through the thrill and excitement of Olympic bobsleighing,” said Darryl Scriven, Design Manager Nissan Design Europe.
When you look at the two side-by-side you can see that the 2016 Nissan Rogue was clearly the inspiration for the X-Trail bobsleigh, which has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 19th century Switzerland. Check out more about this innovative sled by watching the video above! And while we won’t be selling this historic bobsleigh, you can visit us at Younger Nissan of Frederick at 7418 Grove Road in Frederick, MD 21704 and test drive the vehicle behind the inspiration, the 2016 Nissan Rogue!

Video Gallery for 2016 Nissan Sentra
The Sentra has been one of the best-selling Nissan vehicles since the release of the seventh-generation back in fall 2012. To continue the success of the Sentra, Nissan has refreshed the 2016 model.
Nissan chose to redesign the exterior to mirror the look and feel of the 2016 Nissan Maxima. This includes grille fenders, hood and signature boomerang-shaped headlights and taillights, front and rear fascias, and 17” aluminum-alloy wheels. The interior was revamped as well. Key features include a new steering wheel, power driver’s seat, new audio display design, refined seat fabrics, and a new console and shifter knob.
Nissan also released several videos to highlight the 2016 Nissan Sentra and its impressive new features. Check out one of the videos below.

The Renault-Nissan Alliance has announced that they are planning to release 10 vehicles that will be equipped with autonomous drive technologies and a suite of new connectivity applications. These vehicles will be released between now and 2020 and will be available in the U.S., China, Europe, and Japan markets.
The two main pillars of the alliance have always been “zero-emissions, and zero-fatalities’. The zero-emissions goal is one that they have made impressive strides in, especially since the release of the Nissan LEAF in 2010. Over the past five years, sales of zero-emissions vehicles by the alliance has reached close to 300,000. Now, with new autonomous driving technologies, the brand is looking to decrease the fatality number by eliminating driver error.
“Renault-Nissan Alliance is deeply committed to the twin goals of ‘zero emissions and zero fatalities,'” Renault-Nissan Alliance chairman and CEO Carlos Ghosn said at the Renault-Nissan Silicon Valley Research Center. “That’s why we are developing autonomous driving and connectivity for mass-market, mainstream vehicles on three continents.”
The release of these new technologies will come one at a time, with each technology building upon the previous one. For 2016, they will debut “single-lane control”, a feature used in stop-and-go traffic. In 2018, “multiple-lane control” will be released which will allow the vehicle to change lanes on the highway and avoid hazards. Then, in 2020, “intersection autonomy’ will be released, making it possible for the vehicle to navigate through busy city streets and heavy traffic in urban areas.
